The more inflated tires are, the less friction there is between the tires and the road. The tires are more solid and there is less contact with the road surface. They roll more easily.

Underinflated (flattened) tires are soft and wobbly. There is more contact with the road surface and don't roll as easily as inflated tires. There is considerably more friction with the road which makes the car stop sooner.
