The children eat and chat, the two old ladies fondly adjust their silk robes but the cat grows tense as it can’t find the milk. It shrinks with unfulfilled desire until the white saucer of milk comes down to it like the moon that shines amidst the clouds. The cat immediately swells up with joy and love for the milk. She cuddles close to it and laps the milk sinking in its white creaminess. Her body relaxes with pleasure and she is in an ecstatic fit. Her world then is only the world of milk till she licks the last drop. After that she replenishes the lingering taste and retires to the cosy arm-chair in deep slumber for the next three to four hours.
