As we know chameleon doesnt have any other specialities to get away from enemies ,they prefrr to stay away from the sight of others , so they use "camouflage "its a special technique to get away from the sight of its predator . Not only predator but also for catching insects the camouflage helps it to hide in the surrounndings and helps it to come closer to its prey ,even its prey could not find the chameleon. This is adaptation in chameleon which helps them to catch its prey and itself not become prey of its predator. Other reason is that it also helps it to adjust to the change in light and temperature.
