Why does the color of copper sulphate solution change when an iron nail is dipped in it?

when iron nails are dipped in copper sulphate solution , the colour of the solution changes from blue to light green.

iron reacts with copper to form FeSO4 which is green in colour.
iron lies above copper in activity series of metals so it can displace copper from copper sulphate.
