when the iron nail dipped in copper sulphate solution than iron displaced the copper because iron is more reactive metal than the copper. Copper is less reactive metal.
After the reaction
CuSO4 + Fe ---- FeSO4 + Cu
After the reaction
CuSO4 + Fe ---- FeSO4 + Cu
