When iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution there is a change in colour due to the displacement reaction taking place
It reactions becomes Ferrous sulphate and copper that gets precipitated.

when iron nail dipped in the copper sulphate solution than the iron displaces copper from the copper sulphate because iron is more reactive than copper.Therefore,the colour of the copper sulphate solution changes when an iron nail is dipped in it.
