Holla mate!
HERE’S YOUR ANSWER—
as we all know that iron is more reactive than copper.
So, when an iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution, iron displaces copper from it’s solution and forms a solution of ferrous sulphate.
[ the blue colour of copper sulphate changes into green colour of ferrous sulphate]
Hope this helps you ♥️♥️

Why does the colour of copper sulphate solution change when iron nail is dipped in to it?
ANSWER:-
◆ When Copper Sulphate (CuSO4) solution dipped in Iron nail (Fe).
EQUATION = CuSO4 + Fe --- FeSO4 + Cu
◆ In this reaction CuSO4 = Blue, Fe = Black, FeSO4 = Green, Cu = reddish brown.
◆ It is Displacement Reaction.
◆ The reaction in which High reactive metal displace the less reactive metal is called DISPLACEMENT REACTION.
◆ In these case Iron (Fe) is more reactive metal than the Copper (Cu) because Iron (Fe) displace the Copper.
