why does the cord of an electric heater not glow while the heating heater not glow while the healing element does

The cord of an electric heater has less resistance than that of the coil as the coil is made up of alloy which offers a very high resistance to the electricity for which it glows. For this reason the cord of an electric heater doesn't glow.
