HI. !!!
Here is ur answer ------
Question : Why does the cord of an electric heater not glow while the heating element does ?

Answer : The heating element of the heater is made up of alloy which has very high resistance. So, when current flows through the heating element, it becomes too hot and glows red due to heating effect of current. But the resistance of cord which isusually of copper or aluminium isvery low so it does not glow.

The heating element has greater resistance to conducting electricity than the cord. Hence the higher resistance converts the electrical energy into heat. ... Originally Answered: When a heater isconnected to the power supply, the heater coil will glow but the supply wiring does not glow.......

Hope it helped, dear !!!!!

Answer:

The heater's heating element is made up of an alloy that has very high resistance, so when current flows through the heating element, it becomes too hot and glows red. But the cord's resistance, which is usually of copper or aluminium, is low, so it does not glow.
