why does the direction of light change when it travels from a transparent medium to another medium having different optical density? what is the name given to this phenomenon? state the laws related to this phenomenon.

the direction of light changes due to the speed of light changes as it travels from one transparent medium to another and hence this phenomenon is known as refraction and the two laws related to reflection are that the normal the refracted Ray and the incident ray lie at the point of incidence and secondly sin i/sin r=refractive imdex
