why does the direction of motion of a projectile become horizontal at highest point of its trajectory

hey actually it happens in this way .......... the body thrown with some velocity and on highest point when all velocity provided to it gone only gravity act on it so now the angle changed if we throw from u sin theta it become ........................u cos theta it rotate at 180 just bodies direction change not the face or any part of body rotate .
