- Plowing makes soil porus which helps watter perculate deeper and retain moisture for longer times, helps seeds to easily germinate and spread roots deep which in turn helps the plant to absorb required nutrients and moisture from the deeper parts of the soil. It also provides necessary aretaion for the plant roots.
- Also, when you plow it mixes the surface soil which has dried leaves and other rotten material which contain good amount of nitrogen and other essential nutrients with the deep soil and makes it available to the plants for longer periods.
- Soil microbs are very essential for plant health and growth. These microbs thrive in moist conditions, if the soil is incapable of retainig moisture it impedes the microbial activity. Plowing also helps in reducing weeds by uprooting them before we sow seeds.
