why does the fire go out if we put out water on it

the fire gets extinguished if we pour water because any liquidy substance which is highly insoulable in nature has the capacity to extinguish and water is highly insoulable than any other substance

when we put water on fire it goes because in water consist of hydrogen and oxygen in that hydrogen helps to extinguishes the fire. hydrogen molecue is 2 and oxygen 1 so valency high in hydrogen so fure goes up.....
