Why does the fire goes up, but not towards down or side?

The flame is less dense (due to heat) as compared to the surrounding air which is cool.
The cool air creates a pressure on the heated air and pushes it upwards.

Because warm air is denser as compared to cool air. When we burn fire it always goes up because it is warm as compared to surrounding air. Please comment on this answer hope this will help you
