why does the increased level of nutrients in the water affects yhe survival of aquatic organisms

The increased level of nutrients in the water affects the survival of aquatic organisms becoz dissolved O2  is taken  by the plants and algae. Due to this there is decrese of dissolved oxygen in the animal life.and this turn cause to the fishes and aqutic life to die.
