increase in nutrients will allow algae to grow on their surface which decreases the level of oxygen content in the water,due to lack of oxygen organisms can't survive

As the nutrients level increases it leads to nutrient pollution by which algae starts growing on surface of water and cause eutrophication and aquatic animals can't breath and die
