Increased level of nutrients in the lake water:
- When the concentration of fertilizers increase in lake water, it leads to rapid growth of algae on the surface of water.
- This process is called eutrophication.
- This process results in green color plants all over the lake.
- The plants is the surface use oxygen from water for respiration. This leads to lack of oxygen to aquatic plants and animals.
- When there is lack of oxygen, it eventually leads to death of animals and plants in it.
