why does the ink in gel pen get ruduced faster than ball pens?

hmmm. The ink dries faster than a standard standard ball point pen.

Because in gel pen ink made so that they have a smooth writing but due to this they reduced faster than ball pens because ball pen has not smooth ink it has dry ink.
