Dear mate here is your answer...
The twelfth chapter in the novel describes Griffin's retreat from Iping. the residents of Iping, particularly, the Halls, become suspicious of his antics. Cuss and Bunting's clothes get stolen by the invisible man. At the bar, furniture being shoved and thrown about can be heard. Marvel tries to take advantage of the confusion to get away from the cruel clutches of Griffin and run off with Griffin's notes, but is eventually caught by him. people trying to follow and catch Mrvel are in for a shock as the invisible man beats and trips them. In frustration, he smashes all the windows of Coach and Horses, cuts off a telegraph wire and escapes.
Hope this helps....
