Why does the jar of a Mixer Grinder get hot when run for a few minutes?

.We know that , when friction takes place heat and sound is produced .so when the particles collide with walls of jar friction takes place and heat and sound is produced  .thats why a jar of mixer grinder becomes hot when it is run for few minitues.
