because green pigment called chlorophyll .the plant leaves have thousands of cell in it.it has chlorophyll which has many chlorophyll structure concentrated in it .the work done by chlorophyll could be explain as , a beam of light strike the surface of the leaf the chlorophyll absorbs all colours from visible spectrum expect green colour , thus leaves appear green in color .....
