Why does the left ventricle posses a thicker wall than the right ventricle ?

because it has to has more work to be done an d because of blood pressure also

Because left ventricle is filled with oxygenated blood during blood circulation.So,there is large amount pressure is need to circulate the oxygenated blood.so,left ventricle has thicker walls.
