Why does the level of water not change when sugar is dissolved in it?

According to science,the water has small gaps.
the sugar particles dissolve and occupies the gaps.when the gaps are filled the sugar remains undissolved and remains down.

Dear student..

When sugar (C₁₂H₂₂O₁₁) is dissolved in water (H₂O), the level of water does not change. The reason behind this is :

Since, liquids have enough intermolecular spaces in between them, there is enough space in between the particles of H₂O which is filled by C₁₂H₂₂O₁₁ on dissolving & hence the level remains same.
