Why does the light do not bend after travelling perpendicular from medium to another ?​

When light ray strikes a surface perpendicularly, all its parts enter the medium at the same time. So, all the parts of light will have a change in speed at the same time. So, there will be no bending but only change in speed of light ray. Hope it helps
