due to revolution of earth around sun :)
the changing shapes of the moona are known as phases of moon :)

motug2cool: we learn it in class 2
motug2cool: it is due to the earth revolution around the sun and so while one part of the earth moves away from the sun, the reflection of light from the moon's surface turns out to be less.

Answer: due to its revolution around the earth

Explanation:

Due to the revolution of the moon around the earth when the moon is behind the earth the shadows of the earth fall upon the moon which causes darkness over that part and we cannot see it.

The question arising would- so why isn't lunar or solar eclipse taking place it is because if the inclination

the moon earth and the sun are not in a straight line when co-incedentally they fall in straight line they form eclipses
