why does the moon change its shape everyday

The Moon appears to change shape because we see different amounts of the lit part as the Moon orbits Earth. When the Moon is between Earth and the Sun, the lit side is hidden from us. As it moves around Earth, more and more of the lit side comes into view.

Moon doesnot image its own light it reflects the light of the sun falling on it,thus that part only of moon appears bright which is towards us. The moon along with earth is revolving around sun.As a result the relative position of the Moon continuously changes everyday.
