Why does the name of shells in chemistry start with (k,l,m,n) why not with (a,b,c,d).

cause Bohr thought their maybe some inner shells which are not known at that time and can be recognised later so he start naming the shells from k not from a so even if new inner shells came into being even then no changes are required in his model
