Why does the narrowing of the arteries decrease blood flow but increase blood pressure?

When the arteries get narrowed then less blood will flow because of less area, and less space to flow. So blood flow will get decreased.

Now, as the blood flow decrease, as well as the volume of blood flow also decrease and we know that volume is inversely proportional to pressure.

Therefore as the volume decrease, pressure will increase ( actually it's because of more blood waiting for to flow next) and thus the blood pressure will thereby increase....
