Why does the Northern Fertile Plain have water through out the year

They have water even in summers because they are coming from glaciers which melt in summer and give them the water . The rivers in the northern plains have water even in summer because the rivers of the Northern Plains such as Ganga begins as Bhagirathi from an iceberg named Gangotri , in the Himalayas.....
