When the North Pole is tilted towards the Sun, the northern hemisphere experiences summer solstice. ... That is why, When it is summer in the northern hemisphere, it is winter in the southern hemisphere. It's all because the Earth is tilted on its axis.

Our earth has a tilted axis.It is tilted 23.5 degrees.So due to that when the southern hemisphere is facing to the sun,thrn the northern hemisphere won't be facing the sun.
