Why does the particles move in a great speed in gaseous state,but not in solid or liquid state?

because intermolecular space in gases is much more than in solids

Solids have very high force of attraction between the particles which we call as intermolecular force this force is higher in solids and liquids than in  gases
hence
the particles move in a great speed in gaseous state,but not in solid or liquid state
