The poet calls the frog heartless because he criticized The Nightingale's beautiful voice. He exploits the nightingale to get rid of his rival.It was such a sweet voice and yet he found fault with it. His real aim was to discredit and demoralise The Nightingale so that he could rule Bingle Bog once again.
