Answer:
Answer:The poet says "I will not intrude on him" because the boy, for the first time in his life, experiences the grief of losing a much loved possession-his ball. He does not want to disturb the boy as he wants him to feel what it is like to lose something. The poet wants him to be able to cope with his loss.

Answer:
Here the poet realised his first responsibility. Be understood that the grief of the boy, after losing the ball, cannot be shared. Another ball was also useless as that lost ball was the symbolic of the boy's childhood memories. Poet found that if the boy would not realise that how to bear loses then he may not rise. So the poet decided not to condole the boy.
