The poem emphasis on being mentally, emotionally and physically strong because as shown in the poem that the windows and the whole house shreiked and gets quite disturbed just by the power of wind. We can never stop wind from blowing but we can make our houses strong. Just like it we can't stop negative thoughts and things happening with us but we can be physically and mentally strong for not getting disturbed while focusing on our aim.
