The poet initially says that fire is the probable ending of world , By fire he refers to desire . Desire clouds one’s mind , and makes one blind to the ways used to ascertain it . It is the desire of men for goods , land and even people that cause wars in this world . Desire, Avarice and Fury can surely end the world.
