Why does the poet lay so much emphasis on taking the road less travellled

the poet says that the road less traveled is the one based on spiritual values . if one travels a road that is not materialistic and is not chosen by many others who are just in the hurry to earn money , he will get solace and satisfaction as he will be doing wat he wants to do and not wat all others are doing . it will let him fulfill his dreams and make him be at peace
