Why does the poet look down the road as far as he can se?​

the poet took long to make a decision because he could not foresee which choice would prove to beneficial for him.

as he looked at the road he couldn't see beyond a particular. One road was well trodder and other showed no signs of traveling on it. However the road end was not visible as it turned into the Jungle and thus it couldn't be seen any further. The Other road which the poet choose was overgrown with grass and was less throat and but is was more inviting and tempting .
