In the poem "My Lord and my God" by Stephen Ross, the poet praises God because as per him, God provided him with life and blessed him in everything and in every way.

The poet seems to be satisfied for everything that God provided him and that is why he feels thankful to God (Jesus).

The poet further says that God is the one that saves in every adverse situation and for all these reasons, he praises God.
