The poem ‘Night of the Scorpion’ was written by Nissim Ezekiel.
The poem is about a night of an ordinary Indian family when it heavily rained and a scorpion happens to seek shelter in their house. Eventually, the scorpion bit the mother.
While people started to look for the scorpion to kill it, it again started rushing anywhere and risking itself with the rain rather than getting killed by the people.
