Why does the poet use the word journey for a river?what does it mean?

river means flow continoustly .... Journey meaning also travels ... therefore both words are saying that they wont stand idle...like something

Poet uses the word journey to represent the life cycle of the river, where the river Brook has to pass through every rough surface, besides the mountains sides, up and down elevated position,, and then he used to get his success when he met in big river,,,,

I means that what one should do to make his life better in his life.......
