Pole star is the main star lying on the axis of the earth; so it appears to be stationary as no refraction of light takes place.

On the other hand, stars appear moving because of the light refraction which takes place.

As the earth moves from east to west, so the stars appear to be in motion.

1)You find the pole star does not move at all as other star drift from the east to the west . This is due to the fact that the Pole star lies directly above the north pole on the axis of rotation of the Earth.

2)The position of the Pole star does not change with time when the Earth spin about its axis.
