ak rate of respiration the inhalation and the exhalation i.e the no. of breaths that we takes per minute is greatly depend upon our blood pressure and hormones actuallu we know abt adrenaline when we in fear or excitement our blood pressure gotta high then breath rate also increase although the rate of respiration is always measure when we sleeps because in that time no one affect us

To meet the needs of body rate of respiration changes. For example- when we are in relaxed state we doesn't need enough energy so our rate of respiration is low as compared when we are working we need more energy so our respiration rate increases.
