Although Methane contributes to less warming potentiality, as it also capable to increase in the concentration of it as a consequence to human activities should be included in the planning of reducing emissions of the potent greenhouse gases.It is a great concern of the scientists also about the large increase in methane gas in the atmosphere.
It is also reported that Billions of tonnes of methane from organic decomposition are encapsulated in the Arctic subsoil, named as permafrost.
With global warming that resulting in melting of ice, scientists are worried about the consequences of releasing this methane from Arctic ice into the atmosphere.
