why does the size of naphthalene balls ,put in open, keep on reducing with time?

do u know what is sublimation?
actually..
it is the direct conversion of substance in solid to gas without undergoing liquid state..

this usually occurs inthe open..

and naphthalene is of sublimate nature..
therefore..
it sublimated and gets smaller with time..

When the naphthalene balls are kept open they keep on reducing due to sublimation ( it is a process which converts solids into gases).
