The skin of fingers shrink when we wash clothes for long time due to osmosis of water between water and cells of our fingers. The Water acts as hypotonic solution so, concentration of water is more outside than
inside our cells of fingers. Therefore the water from outside enters our cells and Our skin gets wrinkled.

When we wash clothes for a long time water content in our fingers become hypertonic solution and thus due to osmosis we loose water and this leads to shrinkage of our fingers
