Sun appears reddish in the early morning due to atmospheric refraction beacause due to this natural phenomenon day is lengthened by 4 min. when sun is near the horizon. All the blue component of white light is dispersed and only red is left beacuse it has longest wavelength and speed.. So it is dispersed most but when it is overhead it appears white due to same reason..
