No, the phenomenon is not observed by astronauts as, there is no "scattering" of light.

the sun is located near the horizon of the earth during sunrise and hence light travels a longer distance through the earth's atmosphere. when sunlight falls on the atmosphere the blue light is scattered out by these atmospheric particles. so the light that reaches to earth is red . therefore the sun and the surrounding appears reddish. it will not be absorbed in moon because of the absence of atmosphere
