The long wavelength of the light that comes through the Earth is red colour. This is the reason sun appear reddish early in the morning. The astronaut will not observe this phenomenon on the moon's surface, because the moon has no atmosphereAnswer:

Answer:

the sun apper reddish because of scattering of white light. At the time of sunrise and subset the light ray has to cover more area and hence it scatters more. red colour having more wavelength will scatters less.

according to rayleigh law of scattering => scattering is inversly proportional to wavelength. hence due to atmosphere scattering occurs.

while on moon there is no atmosphere , hence no scattering occurs and sun appears white on seeing directly.
