Why does the Sun appear white when overhead (at noon)?
In my Models, I answered -
The sunlight falls perpendicular and hence there is no refraction. There fore we see white light.
Got it wrong, so whats the answer?

I Think this is the write answer:
As the light coming from the overhead sun contains almost all its compont colours in the right proportion, the sun appears white to us at noon. At noon, the sun is overhead in the sky and the light coming from the suntravels a relatively shorter distance through the atmosphere to reach the earth.

at noon time light has to travel least distance due to which splitting of light not takes place.
