Why does the sun appears red at radish and sunset and white at noon time

During sunrise and sunset, the rays have to travel a larger part of the atmosphere because they are very close to the horizon. Therefore, light other than red is mostly scattered away. Most of the red light, which is the least scattered, enters our eyes. Hence, the sun and the sky appear red.

Our Sun is white, and it would look white if you looked at it from space. The atmosphere scatters sunlight, especially light of shorter wavelength, i.e. blue light. So the Sun appears slightly orange-ish as a result.

During the sun rise and sun sun ,the rays of sun has to cover a large distance to rach on the surface of earth,as coming from farther distance most of the colours get scatered, as red colour has large wavelength then its comparatively colour, only red colour remains hence we sees red coloured sun
